The action learning approach facilitates a process where a group of people assist each other to learn from their experience. What outcomes might be expected from the process? Action learning processes may not be 100% predicable since by their very nature the direction is largely dependent on the dynamics of the particular group and the purpose for the group or groups being formed,it might be reasonable to expect: Personal growth and increased self awareness of individual group members Increased group consciousness and improved interdependency working Identification and implementation of changes in priorities, processes, deliverables etc Ability to assess and personally accredit learning from life and work experiences Using Action Learning Action learning can be used in a number of ways the group itself may consist of individuals performing similar roles or individuals performing very different roles in the organisation The groups may require management and facilitation or the groups may prefer to manage themselves arranging external facilitation support when and if required.
